The delivery was performed on the container ship “XIN LIAN YUN GANG” at the Piraeus Container Station managed by COSCO.
The final product is a mixture of marine fuel oil from the Motor Oil refinery with a new-generation biofuel, which is produced in Greece at the plant of the company Verd, which is also a subsidiary of the Motor Oil Group.
This specific marine fuel achieves an approximately 21% reduction in the CO₂ emissions produced by the ship compared to conventional marine fuels, substantially contributing to the Shipping sector’s effort to reduce its carbon footprint.
