The Port of Baku, which is part of Azerbaijan Railways CJSC and is part of the AZCON holding, handled about 70 thousand TEU in the first eight months of 2025. This figure is 48% higher than the same period last year, when 47.1 thousand TEU were handled.
The Baku Port Administration notes that the growth dynamics allow us to expect that by the end of 2025, the volume of container transshipment will significantly exceed the figures for 2024.
The Port of Baku continues to strengthen its position as a key transit hub in the Caspian Sea, developing infrastructure and increasing capacity to service growing cargo flows.
