A triathlon race will take place off the west of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre from 0700 to 0800 hours on 4 April (Friday), from 0700 to 1300 hours on 5 April (Saturday) and from 0700 to 1700 hours on 6 April (Sunday). About 20 boats and 930 participants are expected to participate in the race.
During the aforementioned period, a race area will be formed by straight lines joining the following co-ordinates (WGS 84 Datum) from (A) to (C) and the adjacent shorelines:
(A) 22° 16.992’N / 114° 10.051’E
(B) 22° 17.150’N / 114° 10.067’E
(C) 22° 17.084’N / 114° 10.346’E
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of all vessels navigating in the vicinity should keep away from the race area.
Besides, the landing steps of Wan Chai Bypass Landing No. 1 to No. 4 will be temporarily closed from 0900 hours on 31 March 2025 to 2000 hours on 6 April 2025. Owners and coxswains of vessels are advised to use other landing facilities in the vicinity during the period of closure.
