Rome – Business world organizations participated in the summit at Palazzo Chigi for the presentation of the Budget Law to the most representative associations recognized by CNEL.
CONFETRA
During the meeting, chaired by Undersecretary Alfredo Mantovano and with the participation of a broad representation of ministers, the Confetra president Carlo De Ruvo illustrated some regulatory proposals of greater interest for the logistics, transport, and shipping sector: from the exclusion of logistics and shipping activities from the regulatory competence of the ART and from the payment of contributions to the same Authority and to AGCOM, to the tax exemption of overtime pay, the thirteenth-month salary, and the increases provided for by national collective bargaining. Attention was also drawn to incentive measures for freight rail transport and to some proposals regarding business taxation, including the revision of tax expenditures, tax credits, as well as other measures necessary for the revival of the sector.
“Extraordinary interventions aimed at incentivizing the productivity and competitiveness of our companies are needed – explained De Ruvo – such as the revision of IRES, as well as interventions aimed at revitalizing domestic consumption demand to guarantee workers’ purchasing power, such as the tax exemption of thirteenth-month salaries and overtime pay. We believe that the path of rigor in public accounts must continue, as also emphasized by the main international Rating Agencies, but, at the same time, we hope that the Government will exploit every possible resource for the revival of business investments”.
CONFTRASPORTO-CONFCOMMERCIO
For Conftrasporto-Confcommercio, the president Pasquale Russo, and vice-president of Confcommercio-Imprese per l’Italia, stressed the need for “concrete measures to support decarbonization, work, and infrastructure.”
