A NEW US$86 million container terminal has opened near the Irish Port of Cork, situated in Ringaskiddy with an annual capacity of 330,000 TEU at full build-out, reports Rostock’s FleetMon.
The port is expected to generate 400 truck movements daily. However, till the M28 road network connecting Cork City to Ringaskiddy is complete, the container terminal will operate at around 50 per cent capacity.
