Tour sailing ship IRIS struck buoy’s mooring concrete block off Schiermonnikoog island, West Frisian Islands, Netherlands, in the morning Aug 5, while touring with 21 passengers on board. Ship’s hull was breached, all but 2 passengers were evacuated, 2 decided to remain on board. ISIS, with KNRM assistance, was towed to Lauwersoog, Groningen, and as of Aug 9 seemed to be already dry docked.
