Deutsche Windtechnik to conduct series of subsea inspections in the North Sea and Baltic

Must read

Deutsche Windtechnik has signed several contracts for underwater inspections at offshore windfarms in the North Sea and Baltic

More than 300 annual inspection reports will be generated in the next two years for windfarm owners including Trianel Windpark Borkum I and DanTysk Sandbank Offshore Wind.

Deutsche Windtechnik will conduct back-to-back inspections on the Trianel Windpark Borkum I, Sandbank, DanTysk and Butendiek windfarms this year as part of the campaign.

The scope varies for each windfarm, but the inspections will include a range of structures such as jacket and monopile foundations, substations and met masts. The work also includes cable inspections from the entry point on wind turbine towers to point of burial.

The video footage provided by the company, commentary and reports will provide operators with an overview of the condition of their assets.

Overall, the new contracts have added a total of 231 offshore structures to Deutsche Windtechnik’s ‘cluster campaign.’

In addition, Deutsche Windtechnik has been commissioned to carry out annual survey and subsea inspection services at Trianel Windpark Borkum I until 2023.
