On August 11, DNV visited SDSC Ship Management and issued SEEMP III CoC for the first 17 vessels in China.
SDSC Ship Management and DNV signed a strategic cooperation agreement in 2021.
SEEMP Part III is Part of IMO’s initial strategy to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from ships, which aims to reduce the average carbon intensity of international shipping by at least 40% by 2030, compared with 2008, and aim for a 70% reduction by 2050. It requires affected ships to submit a three-year implementation plan showing how they will meet the required CII.
Using DNV SEEMP III developer, SDSC Ship Management completed the SEEMP III preparation of the first batch of 17 ships and successfully obtained the CoC.
