GTT has received an order from Chinese shipyard Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding for the tank design of eight new Liquefied Natural Gas Carriers (LNGCs), on behalf of several Asian ship owners
Cryogenic cargo containment expert GTT will design the tanks to be fitted with its DNV type approved NO96 membrane containment systems for all eight 174,000 m3 vessels. Delivery of the vessels is scheduled between Q3 2025 and Q4 2027.
GTT will also supply its Mark III Flex membrane containment system for a new 170,000m3 capacity FSRU for US-based LNG company Excelerate Energy. The FSRU is under construction at Hyundai Heavy Industries with delivery scheduled for Q2 2026.
