Vertom Patty, the first in a series of six 7,000 dwt vessels built for Vertom Group has left the Thecla Bodewes Shipyards Kampen facility. The vessel is now set to perform official sea trials in the North Sea befor joining the Vertom Group’s fleet.
Over the past few weeks, Vertom Patty has undergone extensive pre-commissioning works at the yard. Fitted with a state-of-the-art diesel-electric propulsion system the Vertom Patty is a great example of future proof shipping: designer, owner and shipyard cooperating together to achieve the maximum result.
The multipurpose dry cargo vessel features a full box hold and with the smart hull design together with the sophisticated diesel-electric propulsion system the Vertom Patty has competitive fuel consumption numbers.

Thecla Bodewes Shipyards is already working on the Vertom Cyta, which is on schedule to be launched early next year, while the construction works on hull 360, the third vessel in the series have already started.
