QBE Asia has rebranded its P&I office in Singapore as
British Marine, effective January 1st 2023.
QBE bought the fixed-premium business British Marine in
2005. The company, founded in 1876, specializes in marine insurance for owners
of small, medium-sized and specialist vessels.
The firm’s Asia P&I office in Singapore was
originally set up in 2013 to offer identical coverage to that offered by
British Marine.
Guy Pierpoint, Portfolio Manager, British Marine, said
that “our office in Singapore has been in operation since 2013 and has
developed a strong reputation in supporting the shipping sector throughout the
region. I am very pleased to announce that from 1st January 2023 we will align
the Singapore office under the British Marine name as a part of our global
product alignment.”
