TechnipFMC has been awarded an engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) contract byStatoil for thePeregrino Phase II Project in Brazil.
According to TechnipFMC’s statement on Thursday, the contract covers the execution of the subsea pipeline connection for the new production platform inPeregrino Phase II Project, located inCampos Basin, offshoreBrazil.
This new fixed platform will be connected by the in-field lines to the existing platform.
TechnipFMCwill be responsible for the overall execution for engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, installation and pre-commissioning of the rigid pipelines, flexible lines and the required subsea equipment. The company said it will leverage local capabilities as well as the global state of the art pipelay fleet for the offshore campaign, which is scheduled to start in 2019.

Earlier this year, Statoil awarded aprocurement and construction contract for the Peregrino II jacket to the Dutch contractor,HeeremaFabrication Group.
Peregrino is Statoil’s largest operated heavy oil field outside Norway.Located 85 kilometers off the coast of Rio de Janeiro, in the south-west part of the Campos Basin, the Peregrino field is located in the BM-C-7 block operated by Statoil with a 60% share, in partnership with the Chinese company Sinochem (40% interest).
The first phase of the development includes two fixed platforms and a large floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) unit. A system of pipelines, risers and cables connects this FPSO and the two wellhead platforms.
The Peregrino Phase II field development will add a third wellhead platform, as this area is not accessible by the existing two platforms. It contains an eight-legged jacket and a wellhead platform with a drilling unit (WHP-C) tied-back to the existing FPSO.
