Dutch ONE-Dyas B.V. prolongs contract with Maersk Drilling at a value of USD 6.3m regarding drilling in the North Sea.

A.P. Møller-Maersk’s rig company, Maersk Drilling, has landed an order from Dutch company ONE-Dyas B.V. worth USD 6.3m, according to a press release.

The order concerns 75 days of work by jack-up rig Maersk Resolute in the Dutch part of the North Sea.

The work is a continuation of an existing contract on drilling in wells Ijssel and Clover which Maersk announced in December last year.

The expected duration of the work stipulated by the original contract, with a value of USD 6.9m, was 84 days.

Maersk Drilling is fully engaged in the process of preparing a merger with Noble Corporation, which is expected to finalize in mid-2022.

The purpose of the merger is to provide better options for long-term growth for the company. The merger is expected to bring in synergies of USD 125m and furthermore promote a stronger balance.
