Recent data shows that from January to June this year, Taicang Port exported 378,900 vehicles, totaling 46.113 billion yuan in value, marking year-on-year growth of 55.17% and 67.86%, respectively. Among these, 210,900 were new energy vehicles, reflecting a 159.32% increase compared to the same period last year. Additionally, the port exported 5,057 natural containers of lithium battery energy storage cabinets, nearly matching last year’s total export volume. To ensure the safe and swift shipment of Taicang Port’s “new three” goods, the Taicang Maritime Safety Bureau has taken a proactive stance, balancing development and safety by establishing a comprehensive regulatory and service mechanism.

To promote innovative and efficient transportation, the Taicang Maritime Safety Bureau signed the *Hefei-Taicang “New Three” Goods Water-to-Water Transit “One Container, One Document” Maritime Regulatory Mutual Recognition Agreement* with the Hefei Transportation Bureau. Compared to traditional road transport, this initiative reduces costs by 20% per container, helping businesses achieve “cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency gains.” To better serve the “new three” shipments, the bureau also formed a task force for emerging shipping models, assigning dedicated personnel, hotlines, and approval processes to provide services such as application inquiries, expedited approvals, scheduled inspections, and specialized guidance for Taicang Port’s “new three” exports. It also released Jiangsu Province’s first *Guidelines for Waterway Transport of Lithium Battery Hazardous Goods*, ensuring the optimal technical condition of both the goods and the vessels carrying them.

Simultaneously, the Taicang Maritime Safety Bureau strengthened regional collaboration by establishing the “Storage and Transport Pioneers” and “Vehicle Transport Pioneers” action teams. It guided the formation of the *Taicang Port Large Lithium Battery Energy Storage Device Transport Alliance* and issued the *Taicang Port Shipment Goods Transport Component Lithium Battery Group Safety Technical Specifications* to enhance the intrinsic safety of emerging industries. In partnership with port inspection agencies, it signed the *Cooperation Framework Agreement to Promote High-Level Opening of Taicang Port*, deepening customs clearance models such as “joint inspection, single release,” which saves approximately six hours per vessel in loading time.
