  • All depth measurements refer to chart datum (CD) based on Korean People’s Army Hydrographic Office surveys
  • Military facilities have restricted access (3nm exclusion zone enforced)
  • Container operations limited per UNSC Resolutions 2371 (2017) and 2397 (2017)
  • Tidal range averages 0.5m (microtidal regime), max observed 1.2m during spring tides
  • Port authority: Wonsan Port Management Bureau under Ministry of Land and Maritime Transport
  • Mandatory pilotage for vessels >500 GT (DPRK Maritime Safety Regulation Article 24)
  • Harbor working hours: 0800-1700 local time (extended to 2000 during harvest season)
