The Maltese Falcon, one of the world’s largest and most technologically advanced sailing yachts flying the Maltese flag, arrived in Marmaris district of Muğla. Docked at the Marmaris Cruise Port’s Grand Pier, the yacht received 50,000 liters of fuel, with expenditures totaling approximately 2.5 million Turkish lira.

Built in 2006 over three years at Istanbul’s Yıldız Shipyard for American businessman Tom Perkins, the yacht was later purchased in 2009 by Greek businesswoman Elena Ambrosiadou for £60 million. The sale remained a hot topic in the yachting community at the time. Measuring 88 meters in length and 12.5 meters in width, the luxury vessel features six cabins, including a master and a VIP suite. Capable of hosting 12 guests, it offers charter services for €580,000 per week and boasts amenities such as a gym, jacuzzi, and massage room.

The Maltese Falcon stands out for its unconventional sail system, which is electronically controlled via touchscreen—a pioneering feat in marine engineering.
