Norden is rearming: 6 new lease agreements with purchase options will strengthen the fleet

The shipping group invests in future-proof capacity and expands its presence in the project cargo market

To strengthen its position in project cargo, Norden has entered into new charter agreements for a total of six Multi-purpose (MPP) vessels—including four newbuilds with delivery in /2028 and two secondhand units already operating in the fleet.

The company announced this in a press release.

The initiative is part of the company’s strategy to both realize value in existing assets and maintain opportunities for future gains through purchase options on modern and fuel-efficient vessels.

According to the company, the new charter agreements underscore its continued focus on strengthening its position and building a core fleet to serve its customers in the Multi-purpose segment.

Additionally, Norden has entered into a new charter agreement with a purchase option for a Handysize vessel expected to be delivered in 2026. In total, the company has signed 18 charter agreements with purchase options this year.
