Jebel Ali – DP World inaugurates a new vehicle storage yard at Jebel Ali to meet the growth of automotive logistics: it will have a capacity of 2.6 million square feet at Terminal 4 of the port. The expansion adds 13,000 CEU (Car Equivalent Units), bringing the port’s total to 75,000 CEU. The expansion also includes an 800-meter dock capable of simultaneously handling up to three Ro-Ro (roll-off) vessels. Ro-Ro operations will be relocated from Terminal 1 to the new Terminal 4 area. This will improve berth availability, reduce vessel dwell times, and increase the port’s overall capacity, meeting current and future market demand.

Abdulla Bin Damithan, CEO and Managing Director of DP World GCC, stated: “Dubai is consolidating its role as a global hub for automotive trade. This expansion provides manufacturers, dealers, and logistics operators with faster and more reliable access to key markets in the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.” In the first half of 2025, Jebel Ali Port handled 545,000 vehicles, recording a 28% increase compared to the same period in 2024.
