On August 11, China Merchants Port announced that the company recently received a written resignation from Mr. Liu Bin, Deputy General Manager, who resigned from his position as Deputy General Manager due to work changes. The resignation took effect upon delivery of the resignation letter to the Board of Directors, and he will not hold any other positions in the company or its subsidiaries after resignation. The Board of Directors expressed gratitude for his significant contributions during his tenure.
At the same time, the company held a meeting on August 11 and reviewed and approved the proposal to appoint Mr. Qi Yue and Mr. Hu Shaode as Deputy General Managers, with their terms lasting until the expiration of the 11th Board of Directors’ term.
Mr. Qi Yue: Born in January 1972, he is a senior engineer and graduated from the Department of Civil Engineering at Dalian University of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, majoring in Port and Waterway Engineering. He currently serves as a Director of Qingdao Qianwan United Container Terminal Co., Ltd., a Director of Qingdao Qianwan New United Container Terminal Co., Ltd., a Director of Hong Kong Modern Terminals Limited, and Chairman of Zhanjiang China Merchants Port City Investment Co., Ltd.
He previously held positions including Manager of the Engineering Management Department, Manager of the Administration Department, Senior Manager of the Administration Department, Deputy General Manager of the Engineering Management Department, and Deputy General Manager of the Investment Development Department at China Merchants International Limited; Assistant General Manager and Deputy General Manager of Shenzhen Haiqin Engineering Management Co., Ltd.; General Manager of the Investment Development Department at China Merchants Port Holdings Co., Ltd.; Supervisor, Deputy General Manager, Executive Director, and Vice Chairman of Liaoning Port Co., Ltd.; and Assistant General Manager and General Manager of the Investment Development Department at China Merchants Port Group Co., Ltd.
Mr. Hu Shaode: Born in April 1977, he is a Certified Public Accountant and Intermediate Accountant, graduating from the Department of Accounting at Xiamen University with a master’s degree in management, majoring in Accounting. He currently serves as a Director of Ningbo Zhoushan Port Co., Ltd., a Director of Hong Kong Modern Terminals Limited, a Director of Australia’s Port of Newcastle, and Vice Chairman of Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority.
He previously held positions including Functional Manager of the Corporate Planning Department and Senior Project Manager of the Planning and Business Department at China Merchants International Limited; Deputy CFO and Executive CFO of Djibouti Ports and Free Zones Authority; Deputy General Manager and CFO of China Merchants Holdings (Djibouti) Limited; Deputy CFO of Djibouti Doraleh Multipurpose Port S.A.; Director of France’s Terminal Link S.A.s.; Deputy General Manager of the Financial Management Department/Capital Operations Department, General Manager of the Financial Management Department/Capital Operations Department, General Manager of the Shenzhen Branch, General Manager of the Financial Shared Services Center, General Manager of the Operations Management Department (Engineering Management Center), and General Manager of the Operations Management Department/Market and Business Department at China Merchants Port Group Co., Ltd.
