In the first half of 2025, cargo traffic in the port system comprising the ports of Le Havre, Rouen, and Paris totaled 39.89 million tons, a decline of -4.9% compared to the first half of the previous year. The reduction was driven by a drop in bulk cargo, with liquid bulk falling -5.9% to 18.38 million tons due to a contraction in refined petroleum products (6.54 million tons, -16.3%), while crude oil increased (9.48 million tons, +7.0%). Solid bulk declined -19.0% to 5.79 million tons. Containerized cargo rose +2.0% to 14.78 million tons, a volume achieved with a record container throughput of 1.51 million teu (+4.0%).
