PortCastelló renews and extends the fence of the reserve area of the south dock and improves its security

Must read

The Port Authority of Castellón continues its plan to improve the security of the southern dock with the replacement and extension of the current fence in the reserve area of the southern dock, which is currently affected by severe wear due to salt corrosion. “This initiative is part of a series of actions in the southern dock, focused on reinforcing the port’s key infrastructure, and adds to other recent ones such as the refurbishment works on the fence in the area running between the fishing breakwater and the road access points to the dock, which were completed in November,” explained the president of PortCastelló, Rubén Ibáñez.

The project, which has an execution period of six months, involves replacing the current fence and the existing gates in the jetty area of the reserve zone with anti-climb security elements similar to those installed in the renovations of the southern dock fence. Consequently, the plan is to replace the wire mesh with a high-security fence. “The improvement of security in the port is another step in PortCastelló’s commitment to the modernization of its facilities and to the adoption of measures that promote a safe and efficient environment for its activities, in order to guarantee the security of the port facilities, adapting to the most demanding standards set by regulations,” recalled the president of the Port Authority, Rubén Ibáñez.
