Veritas will build a vessel for the recovery of floating material

Must read

It will be the nearby shipyard Advanced Marine Composite Srl that will build the new vessel for the recovery of floating material wanted by Veritas, a multiutility company that offers water, energy, and environmental services in the provinces of Venice and Treviso.

For the vessel, which will operate in the Venice lagoon and – as the tender explained – “at the mouths of some water bodies,” the budget made available by the Venetian company was 350 thousand euros, with funding from the resources of the ‘Salva Mare’ law (No. 60 of May 17, 2022).

In addition to Advanced Marine Composite Srl, based in Marghera, which won the contract with an offer of 349,490 euros, the tender was also responded to by Adriatic Shipyard Srl, of Padua, and Cpn Srl, of Ancona. It is likely that the geographical proximity to Veritas also weighed in favor of the award to the Venetian company, considering that the company, among the awarding criteria, had included (in addition to the strictly technical ones), a distance from its headquarters in Mestre of less than 400 km and the possibility of receiving the vessel directly at its Sacca San Biagio facility.
