Technical problems have been identified on board the Samsø Rederi fast ferry Lilleøre, which sails between Sælvig and Aarhus. Therefore, the ferry is now being taken out of service so it can go to the shipyard. The plan is for the ferry to be back in service on September 22.
In a post on the shipping company’s website, it is stated that the problems have manifested, among other things, as vibrations in the fast ferry’s catering area, and that there is concern the problems could develop further.
“Since we do not yet know what the investigations at the shipyard will show, we also cannot say for certain whether it will be possible to resume operations from Monday, September 22, but we will announce this as soon as possible,” it says on the website.
Samsø Rederi is deploying a commuter bus from Monday to Friday with departure from Hou at 6:45 and from DOKK1 at 16:00. Other passengers are referred to the Hou-Sælvig route.
