Russia: Fesco delivers container train number 2,000 from Vladivostok to Yekaterinburg

Must read

The Fesco Transport Group delivered the 2,000th container train via the regular Fesco Ural Shuttle (FUS) rail service from Vladivostok to Yekaterinburg.

The train traveled the route from the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port (VMSP) to the Koltsovo railway station and covered the distance in 10 days, transporting 104 TEU of imported goods from China and Vietnam to the capital of the Urals, such as consumer goods, equipment, machine tools, tires, and sporting goods.

The Fesco Ural Shuttle was launched in 2012 and, a few years later, the service also began operating in the reverse direction, from Yekaterinburg to Vladivostok. Currently, FUS express container trains depart from VMTP five times a week and from Yekaterinburg four times.

In addition to rail transport, Fesco offers container transport services to the customer’s warehouse within a radius of over 1,000 km from the CIT terminal, as well as the organization of complex shipments from Yekaterinburg to both domestic destinations and along intermodal routes via VMTP and beyond to the countries of East and Southeast Asia using the Group’s regular shipping lines.

“The 2,000th train marks an important milestone for our container service between Vladivostok and Yekaterinburg, a route with constant demand from our customers. FESCO Ural Shuttle has been providing uninterrupted service of a wide range of goods to Yekaterinburg for over 13 years and plays a key role in connecting the Far East and Asian countries with the industrial centers of the Middle Urals. The reliability of the service is largely guaranteed by the collaboration with the CIT terminal, which has managed our trains and containers since the launch of the route,” said Sergey Vasiliev, director of the Yekaterinburg branch of Fesco Integrated Transport.
