Shandong Port Group (SPG) inaugurated a new intermodal corridor linking Xinxiang with the Port of Rizhao, with the arrival of a train loaded with auto parts whose cargo was shipped to Russia.
Henan, where the Xinxiang station is located, is a crucial base for the Chinese auto parts and machinery manufacturing industry. The launch of the train aligns with the logistical needs of local companies to access international markets.
“Through the seamless integration of transportation means, such as railway, ports, and shipping, the Port of Rizhao has collaborated with stakeholders to offer comprehensive, all-encompassing, and end-to-end logistical solutions to companies. This will significantly reduce logistical costs, shorten the transport duration, and facilitate the efficient delivery of products made in China to Japan, South Korea, Southeast Asia, Europe, America, and other international markets,” SPG stated in a public declaration.
“In the future, the Port of Rizhao will leverage the advantages of SPG in the integration of container operations and will adopt a customer-centric approach to offer more personalized intermodal transport solutions. This will continuously improve the efficiency of cross-border services and contribute to the creation of an open framework that connects coastal areas with inland ones and domestic with international markets,” concluded SPG.
