The president of the Port Authority of Marín, José Benito Suárez Costa, is attending the Fruit Attraction trade fair being held in Madrid, which brings together the world’s main shipping lines and fruit and vegetable operators, among others. Suárez Costa is traveling with the aim of contacting new clients to offer the services available at the port of Marín and to attract new traffic related to this sector.
Marín has an on-dock fruit terminal with 230 meters of berthing and drafts of up to 11 meters. The terminal has loading docks, 8 independent cold storage chambers and a large storage capacity. Marín is currently the first port of call in Europe for a transoceanic line transporting fruit from Brazil, before continuing its route to Rotterdam and Dover
