Tersan Havyard appointed Lars Ragnvald Djupevåg, from Norheimsund, as the new Production Director. He has extensive experience in the maritime sector, both in shipyards and in supply chains and management positions in various companies.
The executive began his professional career as an apprentice and machinery fitter at Kvaerner Fjellstrand, where he obtained his trade certificate in 1988 and later graduated in mechanical engineering. He has been chief engineer at the Norwegian Coastal Administration, project manager at Brødrene, project engineer at Djupevåg Boatbuilding and held key management positions at Kvaerner Fjellstrand.
From 2002 to 2012, Lars Ragnvald Djupevåg personally managed Djupevåg Boatbuilding, before joining TTS Offshore Solutions and, later, McGregor, where he was responsible for the global oil and gas business. In recent years, he has been managing director of Miljø og Havbruk, responsible for the leasing and development of wellboat concepts for the aquaculture industry.
Throughout his career, the new Production Director has been actively involved in large-scale and innovative projects, from the development of carbon fiber catamarans and offshore crane systems to the development of modern wellboat concepts. He has also been responsible for deliveries for both new construction and restoration projects, including the Oslo Opera House and historical ship projects.
“Lars’s extensive experience in the maritime industry, combined with a broad track record of leadership, qualifies him for the position of production director. He is structured, goal-oriented and knows how to balance demands with teamwork,” said Tersan’s CEO, Sveinung Vestbø.
“In addition to continuing the good work for which Tersan Havyard is known, he will analyze with a fresh perspective the developments and processes that can contribute to further improvements in production. We are very happy that Lars is joining the team,” added Vestbø.
