The Istanbul Maritime Forum, to be held on October 7-8 at the Radisson Blu Hotel & Spa in Istanbul, one of Turkey’s most important maritime centers, is expected to be a central meeting point for both international and local maritime professionals.
An event specially designed for decision makers
Designed as an exclusive, invitation-only event, the forum is organized to foster high-level dialogue, build strategic connections, and create meaningful business opportunities in a private, focused atmosphere. Participants will include ship owners, fleet managers, port and shipyard leaders, regulators, and classification societies, as well as a wide range of technology and service providers.
Beyond a standard exhibition
Unlike traditional trade fairs, the Istanbul Maritime Forum brings together expert-led panel discussions, a dedicated exhibition, and pre-arranged business meetings. The organizers expect over 60 speakers, 450 participants, and 40 exhibitors to present innovative solutions and services.
Program highlights
In 9 dedicated panels, industry leaders and experts will address the key challenges and future opportunities shaping global shipping.
These panels are:
• Charting Green Horizons: A strategic look at decarbonizing shipping
• Capturing the Transformation: Research on future energy pathways in shipping
• Turkish Shipping on the Global Stage: Strategy and Competitive Positioning
• Maritime Digitalization: Unlocking efficiency and growth opportunities
• Fleet Strategy in Focus: Growth, Green Retrofits, and Operational Planning — Perspectives from Turkey and Beyond
• Advancing Change: Innovative solutions for tomorrow’s ships
• AI in Maritime: Fostering innovation across the industry
• Made in Turkey: Strengthening the global role of Turkish shipbuilding
• Protecting the Crew: Promoting safety and well-being at sea
The first day will conclude with a gala cocktail reception, providing an informal setting for networking and further discussion.
Istanbul, connecting Europe and Asia and home to a strong ship ownership and shipbuilding sector, is seen as the ideal host for a forum focused on collaboration and forward-looking dialogue that will help shape the new era of the maritime industry.
