TUI Luzia will be the name of the first new-build ship for TUI River Cruises, which will deploy it to cover routes on the Douro river, in Portugal, in the summer of 2027. Katy Berzins, director of river cruises for TUI River Cruises, stated that “we are delighted to introduce TUI Luzia, our first new-build ship, which will sail on the stunning Douro river in Portugal, a new destination for TUI River Cruises”.
The ship will have a capacity for 111 passengers with access to four decks, including a full upper deck with a shallow pool and sun loungers and Cinder, a bar and restaurant open every day for drinks and self-service lunches. There will be 56 cabins, including Super French Balcony, Balcony, Suites French Balcony and a single cabin.
Other areas on the ship include Novo, the main lounge bar; Retreat, a hybrid area offering a juice bar and space for wellness classes during the day and a lounge bar in the evening; Sorriso, the main restaurant; and Vinha, an outdoor dining area.
