San Antonio port began the course “Change Management, Strategic Logistics and Digitalization in Ports and Port Communities”, developed within the framework of the strategic alliance between the port company, Fundación Valenciaport and Indra Group.
The inaugural session brought together online representatives of shipping agencies, operational and logistical areas, and relevant actors of the port community, who participated in the start of this international training program that will extend for five weeks, culminating with a masterclass in person at the facilities of Puerto San Antonio.
In his welcome speech, the general manager of Puerto San Antonio, Ramón Castañeda, highlighted that “digitalization, operational efficiency and transparency in management are today fundamental pillars for our competitiveness. That is why the implementation of the Port Community System (PCS) represents a key milestone in our process of modernization, optimization and automation of logistical processes.”
Furthermore, Castañeda emphasized that this new perspective “goes beyond the technological, as it is a human and organizational transformation that requires the commitment and collaboration of all actors in the port ecosystem.”
The course, taught by international experts from the Fundación Valenciaport, aims to strengthen the leadership and management capabilities of the participants, providing them with tools in areas such as port system management, human talent development, logistical integration, digital transformation and innovation.
