Recently, the “New Shengli Wu” platform project maintenance engineering was completed by China Merchants Industry Weihai Shipyard.
According to requirements, before the National Day, the pile shoe anti-skid modification and the renewal project of related equipment in the solid control area had to be completed, and the platform needed to be towed to the well location. Facing issues such as unapproved modification drawings and the advanced delivery date of steel plates, the project team withstood the pressure, established a攻坚突击队 (assault team), coordinated with the Technical Department and Quality Management Department, implemented the welding procedure plan, communicated and coordinated with the ship surveyor, promptly determined the welding procedure, and steadily advanced the construction. After the platform was loaded onto the barge, the manufacturing department personnel worked in shifts, completing the installation of the pile shoe anti-skid device in 10 days with a one-time NDT pass rate. The outfitting department overcame difficulties such as the small space in the solid control area equipment, completing all equipment wiring and pipeline installation and commissioning work within 4 days after the platform was off the barge, making the platform ready for towing.
The efficient completion of this project has won unanimous praise from the shipowner and laid the foundation for subsequent full and in-depth cooperation.
