Gateway Terminals India (APM Terminals Mumbai) launched a state-of-the-art Truck Appointment System (TAS) to transform terminal operations at JNPA (Jawaharlal Nehru Port Authority), in India.

Inaugurated by Vimal Kumar Srivastava, Chief Commissioner of Customs, Mumbai Zone II, along with Arunjay Kumar Singh, CEO of GTI, the new TAS introduces an intelligent time-slot mechanism to regulate the arrival of heavy vehicles, alleviate peak-hour congestion, and streamline terminal traffic flow.

This innovation is intended to reduce truck turnaround times, improve planning for all stakeholders, and ensure smoother and more reliable pickups and deliveries.

“The initiative reflects GTI’s commitment to leveraging technology for smarter, faster, and more sustainable port operations, a significant step forward for the entire maritime logistics ecosystem,” stated GTI.
