The Disney Fantasy has entered drydock at the Damen shipyard in France following the conclusion of its inaugural summer season in Europe.
Marking its first deployment in the region, the ship began sailing in the Mediterranean in late May, offering a variety of seven- to 12-night itineraries departing from Spain and Italy. These cruises included routes to the Greek Islands and Western Mediterranean, with stops in Italy, France, Spain, Malta, and Greece.
In July, the vessel transitioned to Northern Europe, homeporting in Southampton, England. Its late-summer program featured three- to eight-night sailings to the British Isles, Northern France, Scandinavia, and the Norwegian Fjords.
After wrapping up its final voyage from the UK earlier this month, the Disney Fantasy arrived in Brest for scheduled maintenance. The ship is now undergoing routine technical work, inspections, and updates.
Following a similar project completed on its sister ship, the Disney Dream, the Fantasy is expected to receive refreshed public spaces and modernized onboard features.
Four cruises were previously cancelled to extend the drydock period, with the ship set to return to service on November 3, 2025. On that date, it will embark on a trans-Atlantic crossing to Port Canaveral before resuming a schedule of three- to five-night Caribbean and Bahamian cruises.
The year-round itineraries will include calls at Disney’s private islands — Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point.
Meanwhile, the Disney Dream will continue to represent Disney Cruise Line in Europe, operating sailings from Barcelona, Civitavecchia, and Southampton through the Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
