The Civil Protection of the Government of Catalonia has organized, jointly with Ports of the Generalitat and the Club Náutic Estartit, a simulation of a fire on a vessel in the port of Estartit and the rescue of an injured person in the water. In the first case, a boat of sailors from the CN Estartit evacuated an injured person at sea, while the sailors moored the boat at the evacuation point and did not mobilize the injured person until the arrival of SEM personnel.
The second case consisted of a fire on a professional vessel moored at the dock with an injured person who had fallen into the water. For their part, the sailors of the CN Estartit and La Llevantina formed an intervention team and were responsible for evacuating the injured person and isolating the damaged vessel.
