Next Tuesday, November 4th, the 15th ABECEB Forum will take place, a meeting held under the theme “ABECEB Chat: all the answers you need to do business in this new era,” as an invitation to debate diverse and complementary perspectives on the major challenges in an environment marked by uncertainty, technological acceleration, and geopolitical tensions.
The forum will feature the perspective of former presidents of the region and global leaders, the vision of entrepreneurs, innovators, and venture capital figures, focusing on how Latin America can position itself on the new international board.

“The goal of this forum is for the leaders of companies operating in Latin America and Ibero-America to get answers to the many questions of a world that is changing, that is disruptive,” emphasized Mariana Camino, CEO and President of ABECEB, after presenting the ABECEB Global Business Hub, a team of international, regional, and local experts that was formed with the goal of analyzing and anticipating trends in the world, the region, and the country.
“The Global Business Hub is a tool to anticipate global risks and detect concrete opportunities for investment and growth. We want to help companies think from the future, not react to the present,” she added.
Hub Members
The Global Business Hub is composed of Dante Sica, an expert in geoeconomics and global business; Federico Pinedo, in charge of issues related to international diplomacy; Andrés Malamud, who leads the area of geopolitics and governance; Aleandra Scafati, with topics of sustainability and natural risks; Antonio Sola, with everything related to leadership and global strategy; Juan Santiago, with extensive experience in technology and innovation; and Daniel Kerner, who addresses the influence of the United States in the region.
With this Hub, ABECEB adds to its consulting service access to a committee of experts with a global perspective and the ability to think about the specific strategy of each company.
This team will provide ABECEB’s clients and strategic partners with a better vision of the facts to make better decisions and promote adaptability and agility in the face of emerging challenges.
International figures
For its part, the Forum will feature important figures from local, regional, and European politics such as José María Aznar, former President of the Government of Spain; Felipe Calderón, former President of the United Mexican States; Mauricio Macri, former President of the Argentine Nation; and Eduardo Frei Ruiz, former President of the Republic of Chile, among other leaders.
Furthermore, business leaders such as Hernán Kazah, founding partner of Kaszek Ventures; Máximo Cavazzani, CEO of Etermax; Eduardo Elsztain, president and CEO of IRSA; Juan Martín de la Serna, president of Mercado Libre Argentina; will speak about how the articulation of innovation, capital, and track record generates more dynamic and competitive ecosystems, and what Latin America needs to scale globally in a world of permanent change.
Also present will be Marcela Romero, country president for Argentina, Paraguay, Uruguay of Schneider Electric; Matías Campodónico, president of Dow Latin America; Gabriela Renaudo, group country manager Argentina & Uruguay of VISA, in a panel that will place innovation, digitalization, and sustainability at the center stage as drivers of competitiveness, and in which they will share lessons on the leadership demanded by the new era of business.
Digital era, and beyond
In turn, the entrepreneur and technologist Santiago Bilinkis will be in charge of the first of the ABECEB Talks of the Forum, where he will discuss the challenge of innovating in the digital era. The other ABECEB Talk of the day will address astropolitics, and will analyze how to extend the frontier beyond Earth, a talk to be given by Emiliano Kargieman, Founder of the unicorn Satellogic.
With this Forum, ABECEB sets an agenda that distances itself from the most pressing current situation and focuses on the new businesses and opportunities that companies must have on their radar. It is a roadmap that involves setting aside resilience and designing an expansion strategy.
