Miros and Elcome International are strengthening their alliance to bring smarter ocean monitoring technologies across the Middle East and beyond. Their shared goal is to make maritime operations safer, more efficient, and more sustainable through real-time data.
Miros, a global leader in real-time ocean insights for environmental monitoring and offshore operations, has extended its strategic partnership with Elcome International to expand its regional footprint and strengthen maritime monitoring capabilities across the Middle East.
The renewed agreement builds on a collaboration formed in 2023 and gives Elcome wider distribution rights for Miros’ suite of sea state and oil spill detection systems. The partnership now extends beyond the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries to cover neighboring regions, underscoring both companies’ commitment to advancing digital maritime solutions.
Marius Five Aarset, Chief Executive Officer of Miros AS, said the partnership aims to make ocean data more accessible and useful for critical maritime operations. “We aim to improve safety, performance and efficiency of maritime operations in the region by monitoring the sea surface and making data securely available to key stakeholders, whether that is automated Oil Spill Detection or sea condition measurements,” Aarset said. “Over the last two years, we have enjoyed developing our partnership with the team at Elcome, and this extended agreement strengthens our collaboration. Together we have developed a new customer base across the region, and we are excited to explore new opportunities through this expanded agreement.”
Elcome International, based in Dubai, is one of the region’s leading maritime systems and services providers. Its Managing Director, Jimmy Grewal, said the partnership is built on shared expertise and innovation. “Elcome’s leadership in maritime technology integration positions us uniquely to deliver comprehensive solutions that harness real-time ocean and atmospheric data for critical decision-making,” Grewal said. “Our partnership with Miros exemplifies our commitment to executing integrated projects that serve government agencies and enterprises with the precise, actionable intelligence they need. Together, we’re not just providing sensors – we’re delivering complete monitoring ecosystems that enhance safety, efficiency, and environmental stewardship across the maritime domain.”
For over 40 years, Miros has pioneered radar-based ocean surface measurement, helping maritime and offshore operators make informed decisions while reducing fuel use and emissions. With Elcome’s regional expertise and Miros’ cloud-enabled systems, both companies are poised to help reshape how the industry uses data to navigate an increasingly complex maritime environment.
