SeaLead announced the restructuring of its Five Seas Express (5CX) service with a new routing design connecting ports in the Far East and the Mediterranean through the Suez Canal.

The updated weekly service, operated jointly with partners, aims to strengthen the company’s position in the region and support growing trade flows between Asia and the Mediterranean while reducing transit times.

The port rotation will include Qingdao, Shanghai, Ningbo, Nansha, Alexandria, Aliaga, Istanbul, Mersin, Jeddah, and Port Klang, returning to Qingdao. The inaugural sailing is scheduled to depart from Qingdao on 27 October 2025.

According to the company, the 5CX service will provide one of the fastest transit times from the Far East to the Mediterranean and offer connectivity to markets in North Africa, the Black Sea, and the Mediterranean via Aliaga.

The service will connect China, Egypt, Türkiye, Saudi Arabia, and Malaysia, and integrate with SeaLead’s existing network across the Mediterranean and Asia.
