The Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica inaugurates the photographic exhibition ‘Alma de Mar: La Aventura de los Mini 6.50′, a visual immersion into the experience of the sailors who dare to cross the Atlantic solo in vessels of only 6.5 meters in length. The exhibition can be visited until January for free at the Museu Marítim de Barcelona, as part of the celebration of the La Mini Transat regatta and the educational program ’22 días en 22 pies’. Solo Adventure in the Atlantic”, organized by the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica and the Museu Marítim de Barcelona.

Through the analog images of the photographers and sailors Cédric Widmer and Nicolò Gamenara, Alma de Mar transports us to the heart of the Base Mini Barcelona, a key space for the training and preparation of the young skippers who train to face one of the most extreme tests in the world of sailing: La Mini Transat. The exhibition shows both the intensity of the regattas and the reality of solo ocean sailing, highlighting the courage, resilience and passion that define these sailors.

The objective of the exhibition is part of the mission of Barcelona Capital Nàutica to promote nautical culture and sport to consolidate Barcelona and Catalonia as global references. With Alma de Mar, the Foundation wants to give visibility to this discipline and inspire new generations of sailors.
