The Stena Immaculate has been sold, the tanker that in March 2025 was involved in a collision with a container ship, in the North Sea.
The vessel’s Swedish owner, Stena Bulk, confirmed the sale, stating that the buyer, whose name has not been disclosed, will arrange for its repair at the Desan shipyard, in Turkey.
The tanker had caught fire following the collision, while it was anchored off the Humber estuary, sustaining serious damage to the hull and cargo tanks. At the time of the incident, it was transporting jet fuel for the United States military.
After being salvaged, the vessel was towed to the outer port of Great Yarmouth for an inspection by insurance surveyors, before being transferred to Malta.
