A man of great experience in the sector, he held the same position in Ancona and Bari
Genoa – The president Matteo Paroli has broken the hesitation and is about to appoint the new secretary general of the Port System Authority of Genoa, Savona and Vado Ligure. It is Vito Vespasiani, who currently holds the same position at the Port System Authority of the Southern Adriatic Sea, which includes the ports of Bari, Brindisi, Manfredonia, Barletta and Monopoli. Born in San Benedetto del Tronto, having just turned 63, Vespasiani boasts a long experience in the port sector. Before being called by Ugo Patroni Griffi to Bari, he was the secretary general of the port of Ancona. He was also the port commander of Ortona and a lecturer in Navigation Law at the Naval Academy.
His appointment in Genoa was unblocked after the vote in the Senate which gave the green light to the designation of Paolo Piacenza, the current secretary general in the Ligurian port, as president of the Adsp of the Southern Tyrrhenian Sea and Ionian Sea (Gioia Tauro). Paroli chose a man he had come to know and appreciate in Ancona where he had succeeded Vespasiani in the role of secretary general.
