AS Tallink Grupp experienced a decrease in its cargo and vehicle transport activity during October 2025. The number of units transported fell by 10.2% in the period, totaling 21,855 units, compared to the same month of the previous year. The downward trend was observed on most of its key routes.
The most significant impact was recorded on the Finland-Sweden service, where cargo units were reduced by 17.4% (2,698 units). The Estonia-Finland route also showed a significant contraction of 9.3% (15,879), while on Estonia-Sweden the decrease was 8% (3,278). These latest results must be considered in the context of a change in the Paldiski-Kapellskär fleet, which currently operates with the passenger vessel Superfast IX, whereas a year ago it used two cargo vessels (Sailor and Regal Star).
Regarding passenger vehicle transport, AS Tallink Grupp reported that the total number decreased slightly by 2.6%, reaching 58,006 units. However, mixed behaviors were observed in this category, as the Estonia-Sweden route showed a strong increase of 16.7% in vehicles (2,045 units), while the Estonia-Finland service decreased by 3.7% (51,856 units).
Despite the drop in cargo, the company transported a total of 467,279 passengers in the month, representing an overall decrease of 2.5% compared to October 2024.
