On November 7, the 13,000 deadweight ton asphalt tanker “ALPEN AURORA”, constructed by Hubei Hechuang Heavy Industry Co., Ltd., was successfully launched.
This 13,000 DWT asphalt tanker has an overall length of 146.00m, a breadth of 22.00m, a depth of 11.10m, and a design draft of 8.30m. The vessel can safely and efficiently transport high-temperature liquid asphalt. The cargo hold area adopts a single-bottom, double-side-shell structure and is equipped with independent cargo tanks and a comprehensive heating system to ensure the asphalt does not solidify. The design of the independent tanks also reduces the effects of free surfaces, enhances navigation stability, and allows for the simultaneous loading of multiple different types of cargo, meeting complex transportation requirements. Furthermore, the design and construction of this vessel comply with the latest international conventions and regulations. It is classified as an unrestricted navigation area vessel, capable of meeting the navigation standards for various special routes and sailing areas. The addition of this 13,000-ton class vessel enhances the fleet’s total transport capacity and overall competitiveness.
