The service connects the industrial areas of Northern Italy to the ports of Tripoli and Misurata
Libya has always been a priority for Italy and for the Tarros Group, which for over 50 years has positioned itself as a preferential partner in maritime connections between the two countries. Today, Tarros further consolidates its presence with a direct, regular, and even more competitive service, combining frequency and reduced transit times. The ILE (Italy Lybia Express) line connects the industrial areas of Northern Italy to the Libyan ports of Tripoli and Misurata, ensuring departures from La Spezia every 10 days.
For cargo from Southern Italy, multiple weekly loadings are available from Salerno with transshipment in La Spezia, loadings that ensure maximum operational flexibility. The rotation, adaptable to shippers’ needs, also includes a call at Malta to meet the demands of the local market towards Libya. Thanks to the ten-day frequency of departures and the fast transit time, the Tarros Group is able to offer an efficient and at the same time sustainable logistics solution, reducing the overall environmental impact of transport.
The Tarros Group is present in Libya with two offices in Tripoli and Misurata, where dedicated staff ensures commercial and operational assistance on site. The widespread presence in the territory allows it to support Italian operators in managing procedures related to the new regulation of the Ministry of Economy and Trade of Libya, recently suspended by the Authorities, which in the future will govern the authorized banking channels for /export operations.
