Tianjin Port Group and Dalian Maritime University signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement

Recently, Chu Bin, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of Tianjin Port Group, led a team to visit Dalian Maritime University and held talks with Xu Minqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee of Dalian Maritime University.

The two sides extensively exchanged views on issues of mutual concern, such as the construction of smart ports, the development of green shipping, and the cultivation of talent teams. A signing ceremony for the strategic cooperation framework agreement was also held. Luo Xunjie, Vice President of Tianjin Port Group, and Zeng Qingcheng, Vice President of Dalian Maritime University, signed the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” on behalf of both parties.

Chu Bin stated that Dalian Maritime University has profound积淀 (accumulated /strong foundations), and its scientific research achievements are highly aligned with the strategic development of Tianjin Port Group. Taking this signing as an opportunity, Tianjin Port Group will deepen strategic cooperation with Dalian Maritime University, working together to create an “upgraded version” of a smart and green hub port. Focusing on technological innovation and the cultivation of high-end shipping talent, they aim to realize the transformation and application of university scientific research achievements in the port, strive to write a new chapter in Chinese-style modernized ports, and inject new momentum into the construction of a strong transportation nation and a strong maritime nation.

Xu Minqiang stated that Dalian Maritime University always adheres to serving the national strategy as its mission, empowering high-quality development in the industry through high-quality scientific and technological supply and high-level talent cultivation. He hopes that both sides will take the signing of the cooperation agreement as a new starting point, focus on promoting the deep integration of “industry, academia, research, and application” during the “15th Five-Year Plan” period, jointly create a model for university-enterprise cooperation, and make new and greater contributions to the construction of a strong transportation nation, a strong maritime nation, and a strong shipping nation.
