Canada: Crystal Serenity closes cruise season at Port Saint John

The departure of the Crystal Serenity closed the 2025 cruise season at the Port of Saint John, Canada, culminating a year marked by a record 83 calls, plus 196,626 passengers and 81,560 crew members, between April and November.

Five vessels made their inaugural visit to the Bay of Fundy, including Virgin Voyages. At the peak of the fall high season, the Port of Saint John recorded its busiest week in history with the arrival of 15 vessels in a five-day period; this included some ships that were not scheduled due to hurricanes and more than 32,000 passengers who arrived between September 29 and October 3.

“Our 2025 cruise season was full of challenges that our tourism partners and the cruise operations team greatly exceeded,” said Natalie Allaby, Director of Cruise, Marketing and Public Relations for the Port of Saint John.

“Our focus on improving the passenger experience continues to pay off, and we congratulate our cruise community for having exceeded expectations once again in 2025,” added the executive.

Since 1989, Port Saint John has welcomed more than 3.5 million cruise passengers generating an economic impact of over USD 60 million annually throughout the Bay of Fundy region.
