The Port of Aberdeen is promoting the construction of a new border control facility and invited participation in the project tender.

The Scottish port plans to have a facility for the UK Border Force, where it can carry out inspections of cargo transiting the maritime terminal and also house its staff.

“The Invitation to Tender (ITT) is for the construction of a new facility for the control of goods by the UK Border Force and the accommodation of staff in the south port of Aberdeen,” the port explained.

“The works consist of the construction of a single-story office building and a warehouse for goods inspection, with the external works and associated service connections,” the company detailed regarding the tender with a deadline of January 9, 2026.
