MSC incorporates Cape Town into its Asia-WAF service

Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC) will add in December a new direct call at Cape Town, South Africa, to its recently launched Iroko service, which connects Asia with West and Central Africa.

The rotation will serve the calls in the order Ningbo, Nansha, Singapore, Pointe Noire, Cotonou, Lagos, Onne, Lobito, Cape Town, Singapore, Xiamen and back to Ningbo, according to Alphaliner.

The service will continue with an 11-week rotation, using eleven vessels of between 5,000 and 9,000 TEU.

The first call at Cape Town is scheduled for December.
