A swimming race around Hong Kong Island will take place from 0100 hours to 1500 hours on 27 November 2025. About 30 swimmers, under the escort of guard boats, are expected to participate in the race.
The swimming will start at 0100 hours at the Sandy Bay, then follow a route around Hong Kong Island in a clockwise direction, and finish in the vicinity of Sandy Bay by 1500 hours.
In the event of inclement weather or emergency, the fallback date of the race would be 28 November 2025.
Masters, coxswains and persons-in-charge of vessels navigating in the vicinity of the race route should proceed with caution, giving practical consideration to the contestants.
Compliance with the provisions of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea 1972 is mandatory.
