Yantai, Nov. 23 (CNS) — The vessel “Nadia,” loaded with 55,000 tons of Egyptian phosphate rock, completed unloading at the Longkou Port area of Yantai Port, Shandong Port on the 23rd. After customs clearance, this batch of goods will be transported via the Delong-Yan Railway to a compound fertilizer processing enterprise in Shanxi. As the core northern trunk line of Shandong’s “Four Vertical and Four Horizontal” railway network, the Delong-Yan Railway’s sea-rail intermodal cross-province new corridor has successfully connected the five cities of Yantai, Weifang, Dongying, Binzhou, and Dezhou since its full line opening in June this year. Yantai Port has focused on promoting market expansion along the Delong-Yan Railway, successively developing customers in Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, and other regions. Cross-province shipment volume has exceeded 1 million tons, with an average of 25 train departures per week.

Recently, the first stop of the Delong-Yan Railway’s “Thousand-Mile Roadshow” was launched in Taiyuan, Shanxi. During the discussion meeting, Yantai Port’s marketing team learned about the logistics demand of a compound fertilizer enterprise urgently needing to import phosphate rock from Egypt. The team customized a full-process, “nanny-style” logistics solution, allowing enterprises in the central and western regions to enjoy “port-forwarding” services without leaving their offices.

The successful implementation of Shandong port’s first foreign trade import phosphate rock shipment injects new momentum into the high-quality economic development of Shanxi, Shandong, and the regions along the route. In the future, Yantai Port will continue to optimize communication mechanisms with inland enterprises, innovate logistics models, set up offices in Shanxi, Shaanxi, and other places, bringing the “seaport” to the customers’ “doorstep,” and promoting the stability and smoothness of the agricultural supply chain along the Yellow River basin.
