In the January-October period, exports of 46 provinces increased

The Ministry of Trade announced export data by activity provinces for October and the 10-month period of the year.

Accordingly, Istanbul was the province with the highest exports last month, with 4 billion 859 million dollars. The city’s exports decreased by 6.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year. Istanbul was followed by Kocaeli with a 6.7 percent increase and 3 billion 19 million dollars, and İzmir with a 9.9 percent increase and 1 billion 929 million dollars.

The chapter of precious or semi-precious stones ranked first in Istanbul’s exports with 793 million 422 thousand dollars. This chapter was followed by boilers, machinery with 521 million 809 thousand dollars, and knitted apparel and accessories with 514 million 124 thousand dollars.

In Kocaeli, motor vehicles was the sector with the highest exports, with 1 billion 132 million dollars. After this chapter came electrical machinery and equipment with 285 million 138 thousand dollars, and mineral fuels, mineral oils with 212 million 352 thousand dollars.

In İzmir’s exports, mineral fuels, mineral oils also ranked first with 418 million 157 thousand dollars. This chapter was followed by boilers, machinery with 192 million 595 thousand dollars, and iron and steel with 180 million 545 thousand dollars.

In Istanbul’s exports, Germany ranked first with 322 million 50 thousand dollars. This country was followed by the USA with 278 million 177 thousand dollars, and the United Arab Emirates with 266 million 283 thousand dollars.

Kocaeli made the most exports to Germany with 272 million 955 thousand dollars. After this country came the United Kingdom with 238 million 761 thousand dollars, and Italy with 166 million 875 thousand dollars.

The country to which İzmir exported the most was Germany, with 198 million 422 thousand dollars. This country was followed by the USA with 135 million 126 thousand dollars, and Spain with 124 million 710 thousand dollars.

Accordingly, in the January-October period, 29 provinces exported over 1 billion dollars, and 46 provinces increased their exports.
